Code of Conduct: nature and implementation

The organizational culture can be defined as a complex of specific values, working principles, representations, meanings, ways of thinking shared by the members of an organization. which determines the ways in which they will behave inside and outside the organization. The organizational culture represents the „internal environment”, which characterizes every individual in the organization, and, ultimately, its effectiveness. This culture gives meaning and direction to its members on their daily behavior, reinforces the principles agreed and encourages the members of the organization to strive in order to achieve the organizational objectives. An important component of the organizational culture is the Code of Conduct.


BU.RO.COOP Economic Cooperation Centers in Dobrich and in Constanta are created through the project “Chambers of Commerce Bulgarian and Romanian for Cross Border Cooperation“, implemented by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dobrich in partnership with Constanta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Agriculture, funded by the European Union Cross Border Cooperation Programme Romania-Bulgaria 2007-2013.

Code of Conduct: nature and implementation

The Code of Conduct is a reference guide for the Centre’s activities in the Chamber of commerce and industry Dobrich and Constanta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Agriculture, supporting daily decision making. It is intended to clarify the mission, values and working principles of the Center, as well as the general rules of conduct. The Code of Conduct applies to all Center employees, regardeless of the position occupied by them. Each employee must know and act in accordance with the provisions of this code.

Purpose of the Code of Conduct

The overall objective of the Code of Conduct is to ensure growth and quality of services offered by the Centre, as well as a good communication between partners and to help create a strong brand among its customers. Therefore, the Code of Conduct aims to:

a) Regulate the conduct of business rules necessary for having proper social and professional relationships in order to create and maintain a high standard of the Centre;

b) Inform the general public about the professional conduct to which it is entitled to expect from the employees of the Centre;

c) Creating a climate of trust and mutual respect between employees of the Centre and its clients.
